"The proof of our might will forever be etched in your minds"
- Haman Karn

Just a couple of pictures of my limited edition The Walking Dead season 3 Blu-ray set! I love the comic and have been reading since issue #1 (thank you Robert Kirkman). For a long time I was hoping they would make The Walking Dead into a show. At best I though it was possible someone would make an adult theme cartoon or if we were really lucky a mini series. So when I heard there as going to be a television show I was through the roof with excitement. Especially when they chose Andrew Lincoln to play Rick Grimes. However I was a bit skeptical about it (not because I did not think viewers would respond to it) since AMC was behind it. Although Mad Men is a good show AMC has hurt shows at times because of their constant budget issues. In the end though all I can say is thank you! And great work AMC for helping to bring my favorite story to life!

Just a meme I made. My wife and I are always saying I’m Rick Grimes bitch! Like the I’m Rick James bitch line from the Chappelle show. On a side note I used an app called over to add the text to the photo. The font I chose in that app was called governor.

It’s like he’s looking at it? I sure hope he does not stick his hand in there. Whew, Garbage Disposals man. You know what I mean? ; )

metaxzero said: Can you not fill the Teen Titans Go tag with your extreme doomsaying of the American animation industry and general hatred of the show please? Anyway, Japan's animation industry doesn't just thrive off of them taking animation a bit more seriously. It also lives off of paying their workers below minimum wage and overcharging related merchandise to consumers. That model doesn't fly in the west. And there is concern Japan's animation bubble may burst at some point

Look I made a post about a topic on my blog in which someone chose to make a comment about. I then responded to the comment. As the topic pertains to Teen Titans Go. I tagged it with Teen Titans Go as well as other tags that are reflected in what I had to say. I am entitled to my opinion just as you are yours. So because you are possibly a fan of the show, and don’t necessarily share my opinion’s on the state of the American animation industry (and television in general) I should not be allowed to voice or share them? I am simply exercising my right to freedom of the press (or expressing my opinion about a topic on my personal blog). I will tag my post with whatever I see fit as it pertains to the content of my post. You metaxzero, do not have to read what I post as is your right. On the B side you do not have the right to stop, or to dictate what I post. If I so choose I will flood the Teen Titans Go tag with all my opinions I see fit, as is might right. However as I A) do not troll message boards or threads and B) I do not wish to have pointless, fruitless arguments with a person/persons who I will never meet, and is only a screen name to me. I have no desire to argue in circles with a faceless man. As my initial intentions were to just vent for a moment about something I find personally disappointing. I shall consider you metaxzero as someone who tries to bait others. Your comment on my thoughts is an attempt to bait me into a debate. One that you hope will play out over tumblr so that you can inform me about how wrong I am about Teen Titans Go. In which if it plays out in your favor more fans of the show join in. So that the masses can light there torches and chase me back in to the tallest tower in my castle. Where inside I am one and surrounding me are many. To which you can make the statement about if the show is so bad why does it have so many fans. I’m then supposed  to cower in the shadows licking my wounds. Then you will have this this sense of pride and community with fellow fans feeling as if you have won something. Although in the end we will still disagree. So let’s leave it at this, a lesson for you, agree to disagree. I will post what I want, when I feel I want to post it. I will also post my thoughts with whatever tags I feel pertain to my post. If you come across any of my future posts you are welcome to read them or not. If the post includes opinions or content you dislike or find distasteful just stop reading it. No one is forcing you to read my opinions or to adopt them as your own. So I should think we are done now. As I’m sure you should have plenty of clarity by the time you have reached the end of this post. I don’t care about or have any use for your opinions. However what I do care about for myself and you is that we have the right to have those opinions and share them.

Yeah and that is exactly the kind of thing I’m talking about. We can get 10 seasons from a stupid talking Sponge (awful show). And a show like Teen Titans Go gets renewed (pitiful). You see whats happening with animation is the same thing reality TV has done to live action television shows. Low budget stupid shows like American Idol, Dancing With the Stars, and Fear Factor and all the other garbage shows. Reel in the population with out brains. Because these shows are cheaper to make then say a show like Firefly, Firefly and other great shows have been lost and will be lost while people continue to get pulled in by shit that looks like it was made by a class of 5th graders. The same thing is happening to great animated shows like Young Justice or Tron Uprising. Excellent shows with quality animation, great voice acting, and great storytelling will be lost and replaced with cheap low quality shows like Teen Titans Go. One day when all American animation ends up like Teen Titans Go, Aqua Teen Hunger Force and other like them. Well be flipping channels looking for all the great shows we lost. So one day when we loose all the really well made and stylized shows. Like Young Justice, Tron Uprising, and they decided its not worth it to make shows like Star Wars the Clone Wars, and Disneys upcoming Star Wars Rebels any more because the cost of production. I mean why make quality sophisticated shows like the ones listed previous when you can save a lot of money because such a large chunk of your audience is lacking any sophistication themselves. Most American viewers have no appreciation for quality animation and storytelling. Look at some of the incredible anime out of Japan they continue to get great animated shows. Why? Because they appreciate great storytelling first and foremost, and they also appreciate excellent animation. The US will never have that level and high quality animated shows because Americans will continue to tune it to shows like Teen Titans Go with switched of brains drooling at their television screens laughing and swing there are arms about, slapping their own faces, and beating their arms against their chests like mindless apes. While for some this may be just fine sitting in front of the TV flinging their own feces around. My time is more valuable to me and if I’m going to watch a television program I’m sorry if I ask for something more sophisticated and of a higher quality then Teen Titans Go.

THE DEMISE OF DC NATION OR: HOW I WISH I COULD STOP WORRYING AND LEARN TO LOVE THE BOMBS!

Bombs = Beware The Batman & Teen Titans Go

I just need to get this of my chest (to anyone who disagrees I’m sorry in advance you are entitled to your opinion as am I). I love comics to word that more presisouly I love superheroes! I enjoy titles from DC & Marvel but at my core I’m a DC man. I currently have on a monthly pull from a local comic shop almost half the DC titles. I own on Blu-ray or DVD every animated title that DC and WB has made on, I own all of Smallville, all the Superman movies yes including Brian Singers disappointing Superman Returns, I have every Batman film including Joel Schumachers awful takes (again my opinion I know some fans like them but I think they are a departure from what Batman is). I even have The Flash TV show that ran from ‘90-‘91. The reason I’ve pointed this out is so that you can fully understand the gravity of my words as a huge DC fan.

Beware the Batman is very disappointing. I think some of the animation looks ok and I like them showing a little bit more of his detective skills. But in the end their biggest failure is and is going to be (and is also my problem with the show) the C-list villains. I know that there plan is to give us something new but here’s the thing that we should all know by now. Your hero is only as good as his villans. Batman has quiet the rogues gallery. I get if you want to depart from The Joker or a few of the other familiar rogues to maybe say mix it up and keep it fresh. But come the fuck on villans like Professor Pyg and Anarky? Magpie? Seriously? There are so many villans that could be in this series and be better. Lets try this real quick to rival gangs fight for control of Gotham. One side lead by the Penguin and the other by Black Mask. Then you bring in guys like Deadshot, Deathstroke, Scarecrow, Victor Zsasz, Solomon Grundy, and Calendar Man. These characters are just off the top of my head that are not featured heavily in any other animated Batman show or movie. Or on the big screen. So you could use some of these characters and give them more development and depth through the series and make it different enough from previous incarnations and still making it a great Batman installment. Instead we get Proffesor Pyg.

Now I’m not even going to bother to make a comments on the stupid Teen Titans Go! Childish humor in the vein of Sponge Bob coupled with very basic animation. The Titans may as well build a new HQ in Bikin Bottom, and after a hard night of crime fighting they can go out for krabby patty’s at the Krusty Krab.

Seriously? Seriously Cartoon Network we loose Young Justice and Green Lantern the Animated Series for this garbage. I would be amazed if either show is renewed for second seasons. Though if either one has a chance it will be Beware the Batman purely because its ability to potentially draw in an older audience then Teen Titans Go. It also have more merchandise options then Teen Titans Go, mostly a line of toys to be specific. What’s even worse, I think these two shows will be the end of/downfall of Cartoon Networks DC Nation.

I can’t believe we lost great shows like Young Justice and Green Lantern TAS. And we go these two awful shows in there place. Last food for thought to give you a little more perspective on the situation through my eyes. My favorite titles all time in the DC universe in order from my favorite and on. Batman, Teen Titans, Nightwing, Green Lantern, The Flash, Justice League, Swamp Thing, Supergirl, and The Suicided Squad. Those are my top ten DC favorites. See my top two? Batman and Teen Titans. Which means I should love the new DC Nation block right? Beware the Batman and Teen Titans Go I should be lovin’ it. WRONG my feeling now are Beware the DC Nation and GO find new shows. Thankfully the direct to video movies are still great The Flashpoint Paradox is awesome! Well I just needed to get that off my chest. I’m off to start re watching Young Justice from the beginning. Thank you lord for DVD’s.
